Creality Ender calibration & maintenance
A full service for an Ender-series printer: axes, wheels, belts, hot-end and bed, then a test print.
Ender printers print well for years if the mechanics are kept in shape. In this service we took the printer apart, checked and adjusted the Z axis, the carriage wheels, the belts and the stepper motors, cleaned the hot-end on the bench, refitted it, levelled the bed and ran a test print. Every step is in the video below.

What we did
- Check the Z axisLead screw, coupler and Z stepper checked so the gantry moves up and down smoothly without binding.
- Take the frame apartThe gantry and carriages came off so the wheels, rails and fixings could be reached and cleaned.
- Adjust wheels and beltsCarriage wheels set with the eccentric nuts so they roll without play, and the belts and pulleys checked and tensioned.
- Service the hot-endThe hot-end was taken off and cleaned on the bench, then refitted with its fan shroud and wiring.
- Level the bedBuild plate cleaned and refitted, then the bed levelled corner by corner.
- Test printA test print checked the first layer, extrusion and movement before the printer went back to work.

Prints getting worse?
Layer shifts, wobble, poor first layers and clogs are often a sign the printer needs a service. Send us a photo or describe the problem. We service Creality, Prusa, Bambu, Anycubic and other printers.
Unplug the printer from mains before opening it, and let the hot-end cool down first. Do this at your own risk; PrintYourFix is not responsible for damage.
